Crisis Stabilization is a short term (3-5 days) stay designed to de-escalate a crisis situation and stabilize an individual following a mental health crisis. 

Objectives of Crisis Stabilization include:
• Avert hospitalization or re-hospitalization
• Provide normative environments with a high assurance of safety and security for crisis intervention
• Stabilize individuals in psychiatric crisis
• Mobilize the resources of the community support system, family members, and others for ongoing maintenance, rehabilitation, and recovery
